Pregnancy Update

So I had an ultrasound Friday and an appointment with my doctor today to see how this baby doing. The baby is measuring roughly 8 lbs 11 oz as of 36.5 weeks. My doctor said I am measuring a whopping 44 weeks! He has decided to go ahead and keep my c-section date of April 9th, unless I go into labor, or my blood pressure or anything else changes. So I am a little nervous I will be having at 12 lb baby, however the doctor thinks she will probably be around 10 lbs by the time we do the c-section.

Other then that things are going well with us. Luca seems to be sensing something is going on as he has become extremely clingy and won't leave my side...although it is difficult to deal with sometimes, I am really going to try to cherish these last few weeks I have with just him and I.

New Obsession.....

So at my last doctor's appointment I was flipping through a pregnancy magazine and found an add for a website called Babysteals.com so I went home and checked it out. Everyday at 8am our time they post their steal of the day. They sell super cute baby items (well some aren't that cute) at 50%-80% off. I have only bought one thing off the site since I starting viewing it but it was a $50 blanket I got for $20. Anyways thought I would share it with all you mamas out there.

Pregnancy update- I have about 4 weeks left until my scheduled C-section, things are going well. I think Luca is sensing what is happening because he has becoming super clingy. I am on semi bed rest which I haven't really been following but technically I am only allowed to do what I have to do, i.e take care of Luca. I haven't exactly been following the rules. I go back to the doc Monday and will probably have an ultrasound next week to try to see how big this girl is, I am hoping she is big like Luca was!!

A few days at Grandma and Poppi's house

Rob spent this week traveling to Victoria Canada for work so Luca and I took the opportunity and headed down to Lebanon for a few days to stay with Grandma and Poppi. Luca had a blast being spoiled daily and playing with Jackson. We had a wonderful 3 days.  Here are some pictures.
The boys found a hole in the backyard to play in.

This was from last week but thought I would include it. This is what happens when Daddy gives Luca a bath then decides to blow dry his hair to fully enhance Luca's afro!

Big Boy Bed

We finally decided to put Luca in a big boy bed so we could use his crib and furniture for the new baby. I was a little reluctant as I am not sure he is quite ready for it but we had a goal of getting him in it before the baby comes. He did great! It took mommy and daddy sitting in there with him for a little bit but he slept in the bed all night! I kept checking on him all night just to make sure he wasn't falling off so he slept better then I did. Around 5:30am I heard him on the monitor say "mommy sleep in Luca's big boy bed" so I went in and laid down with him for a bit and he fell back to sleep until around 7. We will see how tonight goes!
He is pretending to sleep here so I could get a picture.

Children's Museum

So Saturday we took the boys to the Children's Museum. They seemed to really love it, it exhausted me but luckily Rob, Traci, and my mom were there to help. They had fun exploring, and playing so we decided to get a membership for something to do on those rainy days...

Luca's 2 year old pictures

So I have been waiting for a somewhat nice day to take Luca out and take some pictures for his 2nd birthday. Of course the day it is sunny he take a long nap, so we didn't have much light. Here are a few of the pictures, I took at the same park we had his 1 year old pictures taken. I am going to go back later this week and get a few more with the sun out. Take a look at my blog from last January to see his 1 year pictures and compare.

Luca's Birthday

We had a great weekend celebrating Luca's second year of life. The weekend was filled with family and friends, and we loved every minute of it. Luca seemed a little overwhelmed but I think with all the hoopla of Christmas he was just overloaded. Thanks to all of you who sent birthday wishes! We are so blessed to have a happy healthy 2 year old!
