Update

Hey, well it has been a month or so since my last update so I thought it was a good time to post a few pictures...Things have been going well. We all experienced our first ER trip a week and a half ago when Luca took a header to the floor and got 9 stitches. He was a trooper and thankfully for me he didn't freak out too much so I was able to stay calm but it wasn't fun. Other then that excitement nothing new is really going on. Thankfully Luca is now sleeping through the night and for the time being is still taking two naps a day, which is great for me. Last weekend Rob and I took Luca with us wine tasting to see how he would do, as expected there were ups and downs but overall he did better then I had thought. He enjoyed running around outside. Luca is approaching 14 months and we are looking forward to see what he does next, he is becoming quite the performer these days doing his "tricks" for everyone. He currently enjoys reading (or having me read) the same books over and over, eating his pears with a fork, and wrestling with Robbie. He is calling Rob "Dad" now and although he can say mama when we ask him to he says "Bob?" So we still working on that. He says "Jacks" for Jack and "Pop" for Poppi and Pop pop.

New Years in Sunriver

We spent new years in Sunriver with my family's two best family friends the Allen's and Colby's. Every year as a child our three families would get together and head down to black butte for new years. As we got older the tradition faded since we were all so spread out. This year we brought it back as now all 4 daughters are married and each have a son! What are the odds of all 4 of us girls having 4 boys within a year and a half period?? Unfortunately Jackson was sick so the Fords couldn't make it. It wasn't the same without them, however we still had a great time. Here are some pictures!

Here are some of his pictures!

Luca is ONE!!!!!

Luca is now one and we are loving every second of it. Unfortunately Rob, Luca, and I came down with the flu right after xmas so his birthday party with the Bellenghi side was postponed which was a huge downer, luckily we were all healthy on his actual birthday! We drove to Sunriver to spend new years with some family friends and celebrated Luca's birthday once we were there. It was a great night, however he wasn't really into his birthday cake. I admit I was disappointed not to get those great pictures of my one year old devouring his birthday cake, however Luca is a a pretty cautious little guy (like his father was I am told) and preferred not to get messy. Maybe next year.

Luca's First Christmas

Luca's first Christmas went great! Of course he was oblivious to what was going on but he enjoyed the craziness of the festivities. We spent xmas eve day with the Mitchell clan and xmas eve night with the Bellenghi's. Christmas morning Rob, Luca and I had our own little present session then we headed back down to Lebanon to spend time with my family then it was was back up to Portland to spend Christmas evening with Rob's family. Despite the driving it a wonderful Christmas.
