Gia is 3

Our Gigi is 3! I can't believe it. I can't get enough of this girl. For as much as we went through in our first year with her I can't believe how amazing she is. She is sweet, polite, and independent. She constantly amazes me with the things she says and does. For a girl who started walking at 8 months she is continuing the tread by being able to do somersaults already as well. I am eager to get her into gymnastics this month. She is a lover and looks up to her brother so much. Their friendship is so sweet and pure I can only hope that continues throughout their lives. She loves her baby dolls and to play house in her room with her kitchen. Her favorite foods are peanut butter sandwiches, avocados, and pirate booty. She is truly everything I hoped for in my daughter, strong willed, happy, and independent. I am so proud to be her mama.

We spent her actual birthday with a day of fun, lunch out, pottery painting, and frozen yogurt :)

Luca's 5 and Gia's 3 year old pictures

Now that I am a working momma I feel I need to be more efficient in my life. That is why I decided to take both kids' yearly pictures at the same time, March. This is 2 months after Luca's birthday and 1 month before Gia's. This way it is only one trip out, we don't have to worry about the freezing weather during Luca's December birthday, and I only have to find one free day that it isn't raining. Here are this year's pictures :)

Weekend at the Beach

He is 5

Where has the time gone. I know it is cliche to say how fast time has flown and that it just seems like yesterday that Luca was a baby but it is true. He is becoming such a little man. He is a very unique boy, a very old soul. I am amazed by him daily the things he says and thinks about. He has such manners and it so well behaved I feel so lucky to be his mom. What have our moments still, he is currently scared of the dark and we tend to go to his rooms a few times following bed time to check for animals in the closet or to check under his bed..... I am trying to cherish this time where he needs the comfort of mama and not think of it as an inconvenience. Currently his favorite color is Blue, he is obsessed with Cars2 and thinking that has to do with it. He sleeps in Cars pjs, robe, slippers, and with a cars blanket. He has a problem staying out of Gia's face, but he will also take great care of her and watch over her. He loves blueberries, corn dogs, cheese, pirate booty, and apples. He has a fabulous imagination and that is something I hope stays with him forever. He is everything I hoped he would be and so so much more!

Christmas Day 2011

We had a great christmas this year. It was family filled and so joyful. The kids are at such a fun age where they get so excited about everything and are just so fun to watch. It is so much work in combination with Luca's birthday to pull it all off but it is so worth it!

Luca's 5th Birthday Party

We decided to have Luca's 5th birthday party a weekend before Christmas to avoid the craziness of having party near Christmas or New Years. This year Luca was/is obsessed with the Cars Disney Movie. So a Cars party this year! We had a great time with just our immediate families. We had a great time celebrating his 5 years of life!

Zoo Lights!

Last night we went to the Zoo for zoo lights. Of course it was the only night it rained in the last week or so but we had a blast. This was actually the first year Gia and I participated. The last few years I just had Rob take Luca because I was either pregnant, it was snowing, or Gia was a baby. The kids LOVED it despite the sprinkle of rain!
