Gigi & Gymnastics

Gia started a little gymnastics class a few weeks ago. We went to one class in the evening so Rob could join. Here are the pictures she has a lot of energy, but we already knew that!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day 2011 was nothing too crazy. Standard stuff, food cut in the shape of a heart, a few decorations, and some valentine's cartoons. We went to the gym (which the kids love thankfully) Luca had his school party yesterday and came home with lots of treats. I have been horrible at taking pictures lately, mostly because we haven't been doing much but I will be trying to take more this upcoming month.

Things are going great with the kids. Luca is loving school and is obsessed with Yogi bear and the Flimstones (that is how he says it) I never noticed growing up how inappropriate the Flintstones are for kids. There is a lot of lying to Wilma, jewelry thieves, and all around shady activity. Sadly, pebbles and bam bam aren't in it that much. Not sure my thoughts on having him watch it but he loves it for some reason.

Gia is doing well. I think her 2 year old molars are coming in. When she is teething she doesn't eat and only wants milk so we are on about day 4 of not really eating so of course she is uber sassy. She is talking more and plays great with Luca these days. She is back to waking up at 630 on the dot which is not good for me I was really enjoying her sleeping until 7 or 730 for that 2 or 3 week period. She is also doing some gymnastic classes so pics of that to come soon.

It is snowing today so we are going to put on the fire and stay cozy and lazy all day.

The Fords helping us sing happy birthday to Luca

I can't believe he is 4. I know it sounds insane but I literally feel like he will be going off to college soon. It goes by way to fast and I just really want him to stay 4 forever. Luca is such an old soul. He enjoys the old cartoons (Yogi, Tom & Jerry, etc) over the new ones. He likes to sit on the porch and just watch people. He says things like certainly and sir and ma'am. On his birthday he woke up and we had all of his presents sitting there ready to open and he said, "lets just wait until after breakfast." He tells me daily that he is thankful for his family. When he gets tired he wants me to cuddle with him. He doesn't say he is tired, he says he just wants to rest his eyes. His days are filled with pretending to be Yogi Bear (rob or I have to be boo boo) or Buzz lightyear. He doesn't like pizza, but loves hummas and pita chips. He is nice to his sister, treats her pretty well, opens doors for her and gives her toys when she is crying. He likes to dance with her and hug her A LOT. He changed my life the second he was born and has made me be a better person all around. I consider him one of my best friends and a melt when he calls me mama..... he is more then I could have ever wished for.

His birthday was great. Because it fell on a tuesday we have had family parties on various weekend but it left the day free for us to spend with him. We dropped Gia off at Rob's parents so Luca could have both his parents focused on him. We went to his favorite place Red Robin (shocking he chose it since he has only been there once or twice in 4 years.) then went to see Yogi Bear. He requested brinner for dinner, so we had pancakes and sausage, his favorite and after dinner gchatted with the Fords and all sang him happy birthday. When we put him to bed and asked him what his favorite part of the day was he said eating brinner.....love that kid.

Sadly these are the only pictures I took on Christams! Traci was snapping away so I decided to just enjoy the moment. Traci-Send me pictures! We had a wonderful Christmas as expected! We headed down to Lebanon for the morning and afternoon then up the Bellenghi's for dinner. The kids got a TON of gifts and I found myself just sitting back and feeling so grateful for all of our blessings, which is the point of it all, right?

We celebrated Christmas Eve this year at the Bellenghis, it was a nice low key evening, just wanted needed with the craziness of Christmas and Birthday preparation. After dinner we had a little pitch tournament then took the kiddos home so we could put out cookies for santa!
